As an Assistant Director for Organizational Effectiveness, Joy leads the functional area of employee and organizational development and engagement. She is responsible for programs and initiatives for employee recognition and reward, talent development training and programs, wellness, and a system-wide leadership development program.

Joy earned a bachelor of Science degree in Industrial Engineering from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign and spent 15 years working as a packaging engineer. Ready for a career pivot, she began working within the university system in 2018. Joy has a professional human resource certification from the Society for Human Resource Management and is a certified facilitator for the Hogan and Center for Creative Leadership development assessments.
