Under certain circumstances, a faculty member with the rank of professor, associate professor, or assistant professor, may be granted a sabbatical leave of absence with pay for the pursuit of study or research.
The object of sabbatical leave is to increase the individual's value to the University; however, work toward a graduate degree is not a qualifying basis for a sabbatical leave.
The sabbatical policy and process is managed by the Executive Vice President for Academic Affairs. For more information, including the application form and required materials, please refer to the University Guidelines for Sabbatical Leaves of Absence.
