Logging into the HR Front End

No Access to TRAINING Environment

After completing training you may wish to revisit the HR Front End Training environment from your desk to practice processing transactions. If you attended hands-on training and used the training environment to learn transaction processing you have this ability. (View-only users do not have access to the training environment.)
Remember, however, that every second Friday the training database is refreshed in preparation for upcoming training classes. During this time the training system is not available, and you may see the NO ACCESS error message when you attempt to log in. Please attempt to log in again Monday before reporting an access issue to the HR Front End project team.

Pop-up Blocker Settings for HR Front End - Firefox

The HR Front End utilizes pop-up browser windows. The first time you log in to the HR Front End from your computer you may see an Information Bar at the top of the page that says a pop-up was blocked. If this happens, you need to set Firefox to allow pop-ups for the HR Front End:

  1. Click the Options button in the upper right-hand corner of the page.
  2. Choose Allow popups for hr.apps.uillinois.edu.
  3. Click the Relaod button in Firefox to refresh the web page.
You may need to repeat these steps the first time you log in to the training environment from you machine, as well.

Pop-up Blocker Settings for HR Front End - Internet Explorer

The HR Front End utilizes pop-up browser windows. The first time you log in to the HR Front End from your computer you may see an Information Bar and/or a window that tells you a pop-up was blocked. If this happens you need to set Internet Explorer to allow pop-ups for the HR Front End:

  1. If you see the Information Bar pop-up window, click OK or Close.
  2. From the Tools menu, choose Pop-up Blocker >> Always Allow Pop-ups from this Site.
If you do not see the "Always Allow" option (not available in some versions of Internet Explorer), then
  1. From the Tools menu, choose Pop-up Blocker >> Pop-up Blocker Settings.
  2. In the Pop-up Blocker Settings window type *.apps.uillinois.edu.
  3. Click the Add button.
