University of Illinois System

NZADTCP Form

Note: this form is used almost exclusively for Unpaid and Salaried Academic jobs, with certain fields being used for Civil Service jobs.

Position

When defining contract dates and parameters for a job, its full position number should be entered here (this should always begin with letter for campus [C, S, U] and be followed by five numeric digits). This value defaults in on this form if entering from the NBAJOBS form.

Suffix

When defining contract dates and parameters for a job, the two-character position suffix should be entered here (see NBAJOBS document for more detailed information). This value defaults in on this form if entering from the NBAJOBS form.

Contract Dates

Effective Date

This is the effective date of the parameters; it displays the most recent effective date already on the record, which can be changed. It is usually set to match the Service Begin date; it can be a retroactive date for a new job, but cannot be so for an existing job if it is prior to the job begin date.

Next Effective Date

This is the effective date of the next contract parameter record if there is one. It is display only.

Service Dates

Begin Date

This is the first day of the contract period. It is populated by a Salary Planner script for budgeted positions and is maintained here only for exceptions, such as job changes. Non-budgeted people are maintained manually, and a new record is added each appointment year or as changes occur. Not used for Civil Service employees.

End Date

This represents the end of the appointment year or of the period representing the terms of the job, or termination date. It is populated by a Salary Planner script for budgeted positions, and is maintained here only for exceptions. Non-budgeted people are maintained manually, and a new record is added each appointment year or as changes occur. Not used for Civil Service employees.

Salary Commitment

This indicates the annual salary for this position. It is populated by Salary Planner for Academic and Open Range employees and manually updated only for Academics in special situations (e.g. for late starts and mid-year salary increases on people with 9/12 and 10/12 [deferred] pay using the "DFNS" contract parameter). Not used for Civil Service.

Anniversary Date

This represents the date of hire into the position and is maintained only for 'status' Civil Service appointments; it can be other than the date of hire in cases of contractually negotiated change. Anniversary date is used to calculate step increases.

Comments

Free form comments may be manually entered here.

Contract Parameters

Contract Parameter

These are parameters relating to the job and/or contract. They are entered manually; some cause special messages to appear on the NOA coming out of NESSIE, (e.g. anniversary date change by contract for CS employees). This field is table driven. (NZVCTPM).

Description

This is a textual description of the Contract Parameter; it auto-populates based on the contract parameter code and is display only.
