Vacation and Sick Leave (AVSL) Reporting for Faculty, Other Academics, and Academic Professionals

Academic vacation and sick leave reporting occurs twice a year, in May and September. AVSL reporting for the August 16, 2017 to August 15, 2018 period will be recorded in Banner using the Employee Leave Balances form PEALEAV. Units may begin updating PEALEAV on August 16, 2018 and must complete all reporting no later than September 4, 2018 for the second reporting period. An on-line Excel calculator is available which will assist you in verifying accruals needed for Fall 2018 reporting. As a reminder, employees should not be entering their own leave usage in Banner. If one individual enters usage for all Academics in that unit, department, and/or college, a different individual must be identified to enter usage for that person. There are no exceptions to this process.

AVSL PEALEAV Balances Report

Access the report in the HR Reporting Portal. Choose University Human Resources Reports. The report is listed under Operational Reporting and is named PEALEAV Academic Vacation/Sick Leave Balance. You can only access information for your organization. If you cannot access the report, have your Unit Security Contact (USC) request access for you by sending an email to the AITS Service Desk with the following information:

  1. First and Last name of the user
  2. Enterprise ID
  3. LDAP Group: HR Reporting Portal General Access LDAP group
